Envelop presents a 3D immersive sound space that further connects us to the power of music. With their mothership at The Midway in San Francisco soon to launch, attendees of the Further Future festival will be treated to the debut of Envelop's mobile outdoor experience, Envelop Satellite.
Envelop Satellite is a 24 speaker octagon of sound that will host nighttime electronic music performances and DJ sets, with an equal focus placed on daytime sound meditations, yoga sessions, panel discussions and workshops about the future of music. Expect the likes of Christopher Willits, Lusine, Rachel Toro, Nitemoves, Manitous, Mark Slee, The Ride, Elan Rosenman, Biet Simkin, Patrick Benolkin, Eduardo Castillo, Snuise, Heidi Hong, and many more surprise artists and teachers.
Over the years there’s been proprietary solutions to “surround sound” with only limited success in movie theaters. Envelop is helping the experience and creation of music in the round become an accessible reality through their unique installations and open source production tools. Soak into scenes of the real world like audio virtual reality, feel music moving around you with the beat, and let stunning 3D soundscapes resonate your entire body
